Chapter 64 - Federal Intervention

Through the swirling cloud of white smoke that filled the operations room, a squad of armed Federal Marshals in tactical gear poured through the breached entrance, their weapons raised and secured. Leading them was Special Agent-in-Charge Sarah Vance, her badge held high and her expression absolute iron.

"Director Arthur Sterling Jr., you are under federal arrest for conspiracy, corporate espionage, and violation of federal wiretap statutes," Agent Vance announced, her voice echoing authoritatively off the concrete walls. "Drop your weapon—or instruct your remaining security detail to stand down immediately."

Sterling stared blankly at the federal marshals surrounding him, realizing with sickening finality that his empire had completely unraveled. His knees buckled slightly as two marshals stepped forward, swiftly slapping heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists and turning him toward the exit.

As Sterling was led away in silence, Agent Vance turned toward Dominic, Casey, Julianna, and Alistair, a respectful nod softening her stern features.

"You cut it close, Mr. Russo," Agent Vance said, looking at the open terminal screens. "Our cyber-crimes division just received the complete Navesink archive directly from your terminal sync. Warrants have already been executed at the Boston investment firm and three associated shell companies in Delaware."

"Glad we could be of service, Agent Vance," Dominic replied, slipping his Browning back into its holster and letting out a long, steady breath.

Casey walked over to the terminal, gently retrieving the titanium storage case and holding it close to her chest. The tension that had gripped her shoulders for months finally melted away, replaced by a profound, radiant calm.
